What

The Air Crash Victims’ Families’ Federation International ACVFFI is a non-government and non-profit organization. ACVFFI aims to act as an umbrella organization set up for helping and supporting the families, victims and passengers that, one day, may suffer from an air crash or catastrophe in any part of the world with the approach of “victims helping victims“.

When

It was established in Madrid on the 21st July 2015, by three founding members: AirBlues Crash Affectees Association (ACAA), from Pakistan, Hinterbliebene der Opfer des Flugzeugabsturzes AF447 (HIOP AF447), from Germany, and Association of Affected of Flight JK5022 (AVJK5022), from Spain. We were the victims and families of three major air accidents: Flight JK5022 Spanair in Madrid-Barajas August 20, 2008, Flight AF447 Air France in South Atlantic in Juny 01, 2009 and Flight ED202 AirBlue in July 28, 2010 in Pakistan, accidents in which 534 people lost their lives and 18 people survived.

Why

When an air disaster occurs the consequences are very similar for all parties involved, regardless of where it took place. In our experience, more often than not, we had to deal with the inefficiencies of the authorities, the indifference of airlines, the unresponsiveness of the air industry and the greed of insurance companies which were concerned only with their bottom line. Therefore, Federation is open to all those worldwide associations of victims and family members that wish to join us, because we think that an “unique voice” which is hear by air transport community is the only way to change this reality.
