Press Release of Flight 7K9268 crash on the Sinai Peninsula

The Air Crash Victims’ Families’ Federation International, ACVFFI, set up on July 7, 2015, registered by Official Spanish Register of Associations, No 608100.
In the face of the latest air disaster of Flight 7K9268, airline Metrojet of Russia, airplane Airbus 321, fallen on Sinai Peninsula, Egypt, expresses:

  1. Our condolences, solidarity and support to families of 224 victims. We are at their disposition for all the guidance they may need, from this very moment onwards.
  2. We strongly request Egyptian and Russian governments to follow the Doc 9998; ICAO Policy on Assistance of Air Accident Victims and their Families. Relevant national Authorities should undertake all possible steps to relieve suffering of families.
  3. ACVFFI urges by this petition its national Representatives in ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) with assist to special knowledge gained from similar accidents.
  4. In particular, ACVFFI request Civil Aviation Authority of Egyptian and Russian governments to investigate the causes by following Standard and Recommended Practices of Annex 13. Simultaneously transparent investigations and continues publishing of finding are expected

ACVFFI unites the interests of worldwide aviation victim’s families in order to achieve common and best practices regarding commercial air transport accidents. Ultimately it is aiming at improving victims’ and families’ assistance, the right of air passengers, accident investigation and air safety.
