When they explain what the book was about, I did not hesitate to accept. The front cover is a picture of a mouth and a finger demanding silent next to a meaningful zipper, in addition to the phrase “Everyone, flight or not, should read it”. Today it seems a tragic omen. Another great step has be done on Family Assistance. ICAO has posted a new website regarding all updated information about the assistance of air accident victims and their families: Assistance to Aircraft Accident Victims and their Families This initiative supposes every person in every part of the world can know what should happen when is involved in an air disaster. ACVFFI continues contributing to improve air safety and assistance when there are new opportunities, as we did last October being part of Special Session: "Ensuring accident victims and their families are treated the same the world over" We believe that "Victims helping victims" is the best way to enhance global safety.

On July 24, 2014, aircraft McDonnell Douglas 83 operated by Swiftair for Air Algérie from Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, to Algiers, Algeria, disappeared from radar about fifty minutes after crashed with 110 passengers and 6 crew members. The six crew members were from Spain. A Memorial has been established in Barajas Airport on their memories and for 110 deceased passengers. It is a plaque bears next inscription: "In memory of deceased crew and passenger of Flight AH5017 in Mali (Gossi region). [names of the crew] Your love leaves a memory which nobody can remove".
