In this section, you will find information on recent events in which ACVFFI has participated that were not organized by ICAO.

ACVFFI’s constitution states that the Federation will participate in any event where we feel it is necessary for the voices of air accident victims and their families to be heard. 

ACVFFI aims to disseminate the lessons learned from the life experiences of the people who make up our organization. In this regard, ACVFFI issues articles on specialized media, you will find more information in this section too.

ACVFFI Participates in the 4th Safer Skies Forum
Claudia Carrasco, Secretary General of ACVFFI, participated virtually in the 4th Safer Skies Forum in Marrakech. ACVFFI supports a binding international agreement to prevent flights over conflict zones and advocates for improved victim assistance and aviation safety.

ACVFFI in AESA event on 80th ICAO Anniversary
On December 13th, ACVFFI's Chair delivered a speech at the AESA event marking ICAO's 80th anniversary. She highlighted key achievements in aviation safety and victim support, including European Regulation 996/2010 and Spain's compliance with ICAO standards. The speech emphasized the importance of continued efforts to support victims and their families globally.

ACVFFI participated in Second Symposium on Assistance to Aircraft Accident Victims and their Families of ICAO, hold in Haarlem (Netherlands) from 26 to 28 November 2024.

Focus on … Communicating with families
ESASI 'FocusOn...' is a virtual event that focuses on a specific safety investigation topic. A FocusOn session on the important topic of 'Communicating with Families' whose panel included representatives from an airline, a safety investigation authority, a crisis management company, a legal organisation, and most importantly, the families who have suffered a loss. Claudia Carrasco participed on behalf of Pilar Vera, ACVFFI's. Chairwoman.
