ACVFFI rejects the French judicial decision to hold only the pilots of Flight AF447 responsible for the air accident on June 1, 2009, crashed in the Atlantic Ocean with 216 passengers and 12 crew on board. Leaving out the aircraft manufacturer, Airbus, despite its obvious responsibility regarding external probes. As well as the Air France Airline that should have trained its pilots for crises, like happened on Flight AF447 that tragic night.
What about the conclusions of the Official Report of July 5, 2012, of the Bureau d’Enquêtes et d’Analyses pour la Sécurité de l’Aviation Civile (BEA) Office of Research and Analysis for the Safety of Civil Aviation? The conclusion was the freezing and consequent failure of the Pitot tubes, which indicate the speed, caused the accident, joint to human errors by the pilots regard to the emergency management.
Why leave out the manufacturer Airbus and the airline Air France?
Exonerating the responsibles from liability will only contribute to repeat air accidents for the same or similar causes.
